Treasurer ,.... Advisor ...., 116 Gary Hansen Delos Bryne Gloria Howell Jane Walborn Mr. Swanton Nineteen fifty-nine brought to the Seniors a turning point. It marked the beginning of o new experience for them as they are about to take the big step of going out into the world to be on their own. They worked hard on the dances they sponsored, especially the Junior- Senior Prom and the Senior Dance. Two equally important events were the Senior Play and publishing the HI- LIFE. The steps taken in putting the final touches on a fine year were the Honor Banquet, Skip Day, Baccalaureate, and finally Commencement.

This year 685 students out of the 689 in the top four grades are enrolled in some kind of English course. Of course, all of the 400 iunior high students with whom we share the building are taking English. English is required for the 181 freshmen, the 208 sophomores, and the 140 seniors.
