Dedication It is with no little pride that we, the Seniors of nineteen fifty-six, dedicate our Hi Life to our parents. How can we adequately express our sentiments to you who have sacrificed so much for us? You have guided our very lives to this point, where now we sojourn into the world alone, and this is our way of letting you know we understand and we appreciate. So thanks, Mom, thanks Dad, you've done you're share, the rest is up to us.

Foreword If is with great pride that we, the class of '56, present our Hi-Life. Four of the best years of our lives are now terminated and this book is in a way a symbol of all the experiences we've shared through our high school days. Here are recorded the events which made for an exiciting year: the clubs which made each one of us a vital part in school activities, here also are the teachers who made our years worthwhile, and most important of all, the students. Many who look at this book will see merely the pictures of students but to us who know one another, these pictures are identifications of friendships that are never to be forgotten. Yes, this is our annual for the school year 1955-56. It will mark a different era for every class but for the seniors it is the culmination of our carefree days. Next year our paths will be separate and our lives will take new shapes formed by adult responsibilities. This is our link with the past in years to come. We hope it has a special meaning for everyone who reads it. We have chosen our school mascot, a yellowjacket, to introduce you to our book. He is representative of all the students and is significant of our school spirit and loyalty. Follow him on a guided tour and enjoy yourself with every page. But try and read between the lines. There you will find all the fun and memories that you will cherish forever. Bon voyage!

Board of Education from loll lo right — A. F. Allinder, W. Jaehnig, A. I. Johnson, E. G. Wyckofl, J. A. Weitzel, Mrs. A. H. Cook. As a member of the class of 1956, I would like to express our appreciation for the excellent supervision and thoughtful assistance given us by the Board of Education. Although we could get along without many of our organizations, this Board is essential. 4
