foreword We, the Seniors of Nineteen Hundred and Fifty-Four, are about to step out of the doors of Greenville High School onto new thresholds of life. The four years behind us are filled with the footprints of youth growing up and trying to follow the footsteps of those who traveled before. The years in front of us lead down a strange new road. At this fork in the road of life we all have to decide in which direction we want our feet to travel. To you the underclassmen, we leave our fond and sincere wish that the years at this school left before you will be filled with happiness and that your four years of high school will help to pave the way for your future, as it has done for us. Lives of great men all remind us We can make our lives sublime; And, departing, leave behind us Footprints in the sands of time.” Longfellow Compliments of Howard Hoffman

2)ed ication We, the Senior Class of 1954, wish to dedicate our Hi-Life to Mrs. Arthur Cook. She has been a very dear friend and a friendly advisor to us and classes in the past. She has served on the School Board, and as our most sought-after speaker. We dedicate our Hi-Life as a momento for all the help she has given us and all the hard work she has done. three
