Clare, Steve Hoiles. BAND CARNIVAL The ninth annual Band Carnival sponsored hy the Band and Chorus Patrons was held Hal- l0we,en night, October 31. Among the familiar stands were the calce-wallc, fish pond, minstrel show, and country store. ln the leaturecl event ol' the evening Sandra Wylie was crowned queen, with Shirley Griffiths as her maid of honor. Pre-ceding the entrance of the candidates Mary Camphell, president ol Girls, Chorus, and Kath-- leen Wildi, president ol the Band, tool: their places on either side ol the throne. The girls and their escorts then proceeded to the stage. They were: Donna Lohman and Joseph Wylie, Cleda Schaulelherger and Stephen Hoiles, lvlarlyce Elam and Jerry Long. Pat Frank and Pat Clare, e262 .lane White and Alvin Wilderman, Doris Zim- merman and Bch Rench. Betty Wall and C. VV. Gaflner. Marjorie Gruen and Dale Mills, Betty Daniels and Jesse Hoplcins, Alma Massey and Bill Nevinger, Shirley Griffiths and Larry Bour- geois, Sandra Wylie and Arlin Vvolcer. As the Queen reached the throne lvlary Camp- hell placed the rohe around her shoulders, and Kathleen Wildi crowned her queen of 1952-53. Mr. Wheat presented Sandra with an orchid, gilt of the Greenville Greenhouses, and gifts from the Band and Chorus Patrons, Association were presented to lmoth the queen and maid of honor hy Mr. Pinlcstall. Following the ceremony the Queenls Ball was held in the lihrary.
