BOYS' AND GIRLS' CHORUSES The girls' chorus of fifty members, under the direction of Miss Blanche Paul, n senior at Greenville College, and the boys' chorus of thirty members, directed by Mr. Johnson, offer an opportunity to those who enjoy group singing. Rehearsals are held during the third period on Tuesdays and Thursdays. A comedy operetta, Riggly Otto , a parody on the opera Rigoletto , was pre- sented at a general assembly by members of the two choruses. The choruses, and groups selected from them, have performed at various school programs during the year. Page S0 I run! m 11 : l. mln-rs. I Xi I Hull mn NI. Ylllcrx- lxoonee. NI. THE BAND The Greenville Schools Concert Band, now in its seventh year, has continued this year to uphold the high musical standard set in previous years. This self-governed organization elected Robert Blizzard, presidentg W'illiam Buch- miller, vice-presidentg and Mary Riedemann, secretary-treasurer. The executive C0111- mittee was composed of Bob Buchmiller, Shirley W'ard, Jane Lauchner, Guy McCune, Veda Morgan, Norma Henry, Willis McCracken, and Patti Wfiseman. The Band Patrons' Association, headed by Mr. H. V. Brewer, and the Greenville Municipal Band have been contributing factors toward the success and growth of the band. The pep band is composed of thirty-two members, whose floor drills and music add much enthusiasm to our basketball games. Above all, the success of the band is due to the untiring efforts of the director, Mr. McAdow. Ii-iitg, Nl. Rietl e. I Xiarsliill. C lxnniite. X, Nl., XI. lrn-Jlein. , qi. Willmau. I4 . xiallt-i.
