This 4s Your Life Surprise. Joy. Delight. Wondering disbelief. Love. How could I, whose life has been lived on both coasts of the United States, and in the middle, too, ever have the experience of a “This Is Your Life?” These words and this question, and more, formed a kaleidescopic whirl in my head and heart that Friday evening. The Women of Elpinice did it! I could not see how they could have done it with such absolute secrecy! The dominant, enduring impression after such an evening of over-stimulation as family and friends from Seattle, Alaska, Minneapolis, Ste St. Marie, and Bond County appeared to share with the audience the delights of the many events of life we had lived through together, is that God has blessed me beyond measure with telationships which reach into many spheres of activity. It is a solemn experience to have persons from every part of one’s life assemble at One time to say words of love. I am the richer, and from time to time I find myself sharing with myself a secret grin of admiring appreciation. They did it! — Frank Thompson 23
