Dedication For the past sixteen years, Mr. Gild- ersleeve has proven to be an essential member of the Greenport High School English Department. He has prepared many a student for the English Re- gents, and has provided interesting in- formation in his various lectures. To broaden our educational interests, Mr. Gildersleeve has taken many juniors and seniors to Hofstra University to see various Shakespearian plays. Since 1958, he has been the Beach- comber adviser, diligently working side by side with the co-editors and their staffs, to provide the GHS students with an interesting yearbook. These and other unselfish acts have made him a truly respected and admired teacher. We, the Class of ’73 would like to show our appreciation by proudly dedicating our 1973 Beachcomber to you, Mr. George Gildersleeve.
