Local Hoboes. Hanky-Panky? Floral Fountain? History Our rings finally arrived early in February, and our Valentine’s dance, “Cupid’s Kaleidoscope” gave us a good place to show them off. Time flew, and soon after tne spring car wash, which gave our treasury a huge boost. Regents were upon us. Somehow, we managed to struggle through the exams and then eagerly looked forward to Prom night. “Paris by Night” was beautiful — from the sidewalk cafes to the Eiffel Tower. The highlight of the evening was the coronation of Laurie Peterson by the previous queen, Laura Yantsos. It was hard to believe that we would go back to G.H.S. as Seniors, but it didn’t take us long to get used to the fact that we were on top. Our last year began in August when we started the magazine drive. Although we couldn't meet the challenge set by the last year’s Seniors, we weren’t behind with $8200. Our Senior officers were: Colin Van Tuyl, President; Jeff Sherwood, Vice-President; Jovlene Dinizio, Secretary; and Karen Mazzaferro. Treasurer. We were now faced with the burden of college applications, interviews, college boards, and achievement tests. Then came the usual time of year when everyone on the Beachcomber staff was suffering from a good case of the jitters as deadlines drew near. At last — spring and our trip to Washington, D.C. The four days we spent there would not easily be forgotten. Now for the last time we moved forward as a group, knowing that in a short time we would pass through the doors of G.H.S. and each one of us would take a separate path into the future. I LI
