Teachers’ Aides Mrs. Jones, Mrs. Morris, Mrs. Bubb, absent: Mrs. Martocchia When we the Class of ’67 started out as members of the kindergarten class of 1954, Mrs. Evelyn Brandi joined the Greenport faculty as a fifth grade teacher. In 1959 she be- came head of the Remedial Reading Program, working with grades 4-8, and it was at this time that she launched our class in the pen business, our first money-making enterprise. Her firm discipline, gentle teaching methods, and genuine interest in her students left a soft spot in the hearts of all of us. Mrs. Brandi passed away on January 21, 1967. The facul- ty and student body join with us in honoring the memory of our teacher, Evelyn Brandi, and in extending our sympa- thies to her family, of whom she was so proud.
