Klipp. One of the most notewor- thy honors which can tc achieved by a high school senior is that of election to the National Honor Society. Members of this society are chosen annually by the high school faculty on the basis of character, scholarship, lead- ership and service. Members inducted this year include: Richard Co- wan, Patricia Droskoski, Gre- ta Hanff, Marjorie Kiski, Marjorie Klipp, Robert Lamb and Vida Unander. Student Cdouncif First row: J. Myslborski, S. Since its inception in 1950, the Student Council has per- formed a distinct service to the school. In addition to sponsoring dances after bas- ketball games, the organiza- tion this year was responsible for placing monitors at the exits to expedite the dismis- sal of lower grade children. It was also instrumental in apprehending student offen- ders. Officers for this year were: president, Nancy Luce; vice- president, Sybil Kaplan; and secretary, Susanne Coyle. 6

Under the able leader- ship of their faculty advisors, Mrs. Van Popering and Miss Orr, and editor Deanne Earnshaw, a staff of about thirty members worked hard to produce the nine issues which appeared this year. 8
