We shall always remember our high school days. The scrapbook may grow dusfy on fhe shelf, buf from fime fo fime we shall fake if down and leaf fhrough ifs pages. As fime unfolds, we see fhe familiar faces and relive 'rhe days fhaf will never be forgoffen ..... We are reminded of our firsf year on fhe fhird floor back in '48, Alfhough we were proud fo be freshmen, we were a liffle losf and af fhe mercy of fhose awful marshals. Our officers were: Ed Davis, presidenf: Fred Davis, vice- presidenf: Shirley Penfz, secrefaryg and Clive Tyrer, freasurer. Our capable advisor, Mr. Carrufhers, led us firmly fo fhe pafh of success wifh our firsf parfy, a Valenfine Dance, fo which we could each invife one quesi. And how could we forgef fhaf hecfic one week's pracfice for Margie's Surprise , our confribufion fo fhe lnferclass Plays! Thanks fo Mr. WiIsen's direcfion and fhe co-operafion of fhe sfudenfs who fook parf, if was a musical fo be remembered. Sfill a liffle green, buf learning rapidly, we finished fhe school year. As we furn fhe pages, our minds are a gay blur of classes, foofball games, and fhe silliness fhaf always seems fo be associafed wifh being Sophomores. Mr. Maffhias and Miss McClellan were our keepers fhaf year, we remember. and our officers were John Dimbaf, presidenf: Roberf Wagner, vice-presidenf: Roberf Cassidy, secrefary: and George Maffhias. freasurer. This was fhe year +ha+ so many of us disfinguished ourselves in fhe falenf show, nofably Mariorie Gaffga, Shirley Penfz, Tom Monsell and Susie Lewis: if was also 'rhe year fhaf our own George Maffhias, borrowed by fhe Seniors for fhe occasion, made such a hif in Life Wifh Fafher. We gave a Chrisfmas Dance. foo, which was so successful fhaf we gave anofher parfy in fhe springfime. We remember our Junior year when, wifh Mr. Holf and Miss Fuccio as our advisors, we elecfed fhe following fo be our officers: John Dimbaf, presidenf: George Maffhias, vice-presidenf: Emily Vail, secrefary: and Ed Davis. freasurer. We shall never forgei' fhe wild Hallowe'en Parfy we gave for fhe Seniors, or fhe soff music and preffy gowns af The Prom. Many Juniors helped io make fhe Talenf Show a hif fhai year also, and many were oufsfanding in sporfs. More sfudying, more homework: fhen if was over and fhe Seniors were giving us a picnic fo fop off fhe school year. Quife suddenly, we were Seniors. If was our furn fo yell double file! and fo sell candy fo fhe underclassmen. Wifh Mr. Holi' and Miss Fuccio refurning as our advisors, we elecfed John Dimbaf as our president Marge Gaffga as our vice-president Dorofhy Andrade as secrefary, and Emily Vail as freasurer. For our Senior Play, we presenfed You Can'+ Take I+ Wiih You , direcfed by Mrs. Diller, and proved ourselves fo be credifable performers. Time sped by and somehow magazine subscripfions were sold, dues were paid, and candy sales were over. All was in readiness for fhe biggesf evenf of fhe year, fhe Washingfon frip. We shall never forgef fhose four days and fhree nighfs spenf in fhe nafion's capifol. Four weeks lafer we danced fo Jack Sherwood's music on fhe magical nighf of fhe Prom. Then Regenfs week was over and Commencemenf had arrived . . . We close The scrapbook now, and puf if back on fhe shelf, buf memories sfay wifh us. They are parf of us as we sfand on fhe fhreshold of fhe fufure, ready fo journey our separafe pafhs through life.
