The future is uncertain but it will hold much more success be- cause we were once students of G, H, S, I As we unfold the pages of time we find that several of our present Senior class started up the road of Jknowledge together, This carefree bunch of kids consisted of Dale Overton, Ruth Ann McDaniel, Mary 7Evelyn Moore, Joe Grooms, George McAdams, Marie Walker, Lois Cardwell, John Young, and Sarah enkins, Only six of the above students have gone through all twelve grades together, they are Ruth nn, Dale, Mary Evelyn, Joe, George, and John, After much effort had been exerted Miss Brooksie I graciously promoted all of us to Miss Aurella, who could hardly wait to have us. In the second grade U we had one addition, in the form of Samuel Tucker, usually known as bughead, He has contributed much to our class in the way of science, because we have all become a little buggy from listening I o him, Billy Insco was the lone addition in the third grade, Our fourth year brought us five shy, timid, creatures. You will be surprised to know that they were Nadine Gearin, Bobby Orr, Joyce Galey, and Ifyerry Floyd, I am sure you will agree that they are no longer shy and have made many friends. When ' our fifth year rolled around one member of our present class joined us, Doris Monroe, We are happy to say this student has contributed much to our class. The year 1946 our sixth year found only two new additions to our class, Billy Kemp Higgs and Patsy Legons. As we entered the seventh grade the follow- ing year we began to feel very important, Jewell Bryan who has proven worthy of her name Jewell fnot Pearll was the only person who could meet our standards, In the eighth grade we acquired three new members who were none other than Carolyn Harrison, Jackie Baker, and William McDaniel, These three we are proud to say have stuck with us, and have made their way into our hearts. As we entered high school the following year Fannie Mitchell joined us, fThe Lucky Girlj, Our Sophomore year Gin- ger Brummit moved from Martin to finish her education with us. This concludes our list of class mem- bers except Grethel Galey, the cute little girl from Trezvent. We have had a lot of fun in our school Hays together, More than once we have had arguments with our- selves and with our teachers, nevertheless they were usually short lived. Then we have had fusses with other classes but good feelings have always returned. We have found throughout our years in school that if we stuck together we could accomplish many things. Using this policy we usually came out on top. We h ve been well represented in our school activities because many of our students have participated in al sports. We have also been represented in all phases of school life. As. e leave, we shall never forget Greenfield High School and the things that happened there in the dim but glorious past. To all the classes that follow us we wish much happiness, joy and luck, of which we have had our share, We wish to thank every teacher, principal, and student who have contributed in any way to us during our four years, To the dearest place we know, G, H, S, we say thanks, good luck, and goodbye, ' c ,,,,,-.-.-.fr-.4-u..-.a-,A CLASS WILL We, the Class of 52-53, some slightly errectic, but the majority sound in mind, do declare this our last will and testament, and do hereby will and bequeath this testament to be bestowed as follows: ARTICLE I To the future members of the Senior Class, we leave our ability to keep out of trouble and our money making ability. To the faculty and student body, we leave Mr. Jaco! , U' PROPHECY OF CLASS OF 53 Ah . , . welcome, friends, to the humble house of Swami, the Great. What's that. . .you wish to look into the Future? Very well, look closely into the crystal ball, and you will see. . . The time is 1963, Mary Evelyn Moore has just been inaugurated as first lady President of the United States. Her first bill to Congress is that all men between the ages of 16 and 60 must come to the capitol for special training. Hollywood has been hit by a thrilling new discovery, This is none other than Jerry Floyd who has taken over Tarzan's position, It has been told that he got his skill on the grapevines from swinging from his home to school. The old ruckus between Greenfield and Sharon has finally been settled and all is peaceful since Greenfield's Bobby Robinson and Dale Overton married two mighty cute Sharon girls. John D. Young has just signed another 10 year contract with G, H. S. truant officer. Ruth Ann McDaniel is now a college English teacher. Seems queer, but she always has a 'male' class after college hours. Billy Kemp Higgs is now the No. lfeature at the Stock Car Race Track driving 'Wild Cat. The newest of the new wonder drugs is that of Grethel Galey, She now sells 'Aswtftlm' which means, a simple way to grow taller. She has been taking it for a month and is now 4 feet tall. 'Honest Joe will save your dough, ' is the motto of Joe Grooms whose used car lot is located in Redfield, Sarah Jenkins has a pleasant life. She works for Dixie Doodle Noodle Company, as secretary. fl-Ier boss said she was lighter on the knee than any girl he had yet,l George McAdams is now chief surgeon at McAdams Clinic. He says he enjoys this type of work very much. No wonder, he has a cute little blond nurse. Bobby Orr now lives in a palatial home with his lovely wife Jewell Bryan, They have taken over the Floral Shop and have three cute little girls named Rose, Daisy and Pansy. Fanny Lou Mitchell, who was always so shy and bashful in her high school days has recently married the honorable 'King of Egypt, She has written a new book on 'How to say a lot ina few words. ' 'I'he world has been astounded by something greater than the Globe Trotters, it's the 'Monrovers' which are none other than Doris Jean Monroe-Foster's six little girls, She said they got their basketball skill by pitching pennies through their teething rings. Billy Insco and William McDaniel are still Bachelors since their American History Class sweet- heart can't choose between them. Edna lois Cardwell has just buried her third husband, but it is rumored that she has 'eyes for an other. Qcon'tj Patsy Legons is now working with the Wonders of the World Model Agency. fin Patsy I'm sure we can see them ally, ' Ginger Brummitt, manager of the popular nursery in Shakerag attributes her success in the care of babies to her motto, Just drop them in and let the machine do the rest. Oh, no! What is that up there on the light pole? It's none other than Joyce Galey coming to make her daily check on Bill, We find in the New York Times where West Point has a daring new coach. Guess who it is? Nadine Gearin, who says this type of work really suits her, Oh, those Cadets! One of the most dangerous occupations chosen by a G. H. S. student is that of Jackie Baker. She is a trapeze girl in the Hal Rachel's Circus. Professor Samuel Tucker is at this time the world's Number One inventor. He became famous for the discovery of stockings without garters. For miles people can see the lights of the new Campbell Super Market, co-owned and operat- ed by Carolyn Harrison, now Carolyn Campbell, The sign painter not being able to understand Carolyn's funny chatter, put by mistake Tampbe11 Tuper Martet. Marie Walker has been chosen Miss Atlas of 1963. Her muscles and suength have really proved a credit to her. I - fit is whispered about town that Swami the Great, whose predictions have astounded the nation, are none other than Nancy Jo McDaniel and Nina Jean McDuffie, Class of 54, Greenfield High Schoo1,J .IUNIORS MRS.
