mow 666016 'Wayfwlm Qndlwfb' May 13, 1960, became a magic night for the juniors and seniors as they were swept into the southern atmosphere of a Magnolia Manor. The couples danced in the front yard of a beautiful southern mansion to the music of Rick Sutherlin's Band from I.U. and strolled through the mystic plantation garden on the terrace of the Student Un- ion Building. Marcia McCall and Dick Frederick were crowned Queen and King of the 1960 Prom by junior class president, Larry Giddings, and secretary, Virginia Padgett. Midnight replaced the romantic southern mood with laughter, entertainment, and more refresh- ments, as the Post Prom sponsored by the Chamber of Commerce began. A variety of acts kept everyone amazed and amused throughout the morning. Break- fast at five o'clock brought the close to another un- forgettable Prom. ITS THE GRAND MARCH! Leading dignitaries are A Michael S Jones, L. Nelson, L. Giddings, M. McCall, D. Frederick V Padgett J Clodfelter and B. Steele.
