Pam Loveless shows the geometry students how to bisect a line. New equipment and laborat'ories have added much to Greencastle High School's Science Depart- ment. With the new building, science students can learn by performing numerous experiments in the spacious classrooms and laboratories. Science courses offered at G.H.S. include Chemistry, Phys- ics, Biology, Physical Science, and a special Science Project class. Mr. Eugene Akers, head of the de- partment, reported that nearly 210 students took science courses this year. General Math, Algebra, Advanced Algebra, Plane Geometry, Solid Geometry, Analytic Geom- etry, and Trigonometry are the courses offered by the Math Department. Each year she choir and the glee club make several Jresentations among which are the Christ- nas program and the county festival. With its concerts, precision marching, and home game performances, the band entertains goth the school and the community. For the musician the big events of the year tre the state and the local Solo 8a Ensemble Contests, in which our students have always fared well. In addition to these organiza- aions are the dance band and the pep band, which provide the high school with two dif- ferent types of music.
