David Gooch demonstrates the water holding capacity of sand The classes at Greencastle High School are well planned and give the students a chance to choose from a varied schedule according to their individual interests. The six different curricula give to each student the background to meet any future need. These courses help not only those who are going to college, but also those who are entering into their vocation. Academic, Business, General, Home Eco- nomics, lndustrial Arts, and Vocational Agricul- ture are fields into which the freshmen may enter. In line with modern trend, G.H.S. has placed special emphasis on Science and Mathematics. ln addition to Algebra and Geometry this year a new course in Analytical Geometry is offered Chemistry Biology Physis and Physical Science complete the Science Department In our Social Studies Department Citizen ship World History and World Geography are offered as electives but United States History and Civics and Economics are required for Jun iors and Seniors Our Foreign Language Depart ment includes two years of French Latin and Spanish English is required during the first three years of high school while the college bound Sen iors may take English Literature and Grammar and Composition Speech and Journalism are available for interested students While Studying ln Modern Classrooms MQ M-41 ash.
