Dale met this dramatic end be- cause at The Monkeys Paw This year the Thespian troupe, instead of pre- senting its usual three act play, worked hard to bring three outstanding one act plays to their appreciative G. l-l. S. audience. The first, Thursday Evening, was a light comedy involving a young married couple and their domestic problems. The second, an in- tensely dramatic play of a proverty striken family that was granted three wishes, was the Monkey's Paw. The last, She Stoops to Conquer, was a comedy that takes place in the eighteenth century. You're such o wasteful wife! Bo probably thinks Nan cy needs a course in Home Economics, Mannequins? No? Drama, Mirth, And Suspense The Junior play, Our Girls, was a clever, three act, modern day farce concerning a fam- ily of three lively boys who try to trick their old maid aunt into believing they are girls. The action centers around the boys, Vivien, Jesse, and Francis Lovejoy, their parents, and Vivien's girl friend, Phyllis. As the boys masquerade to deceive their wealthy Aunt Jesse, Vivien dis- covers that he has romance problerns, and to add to the merriment, the Lovejoy's next door neighbor accuses the boys of breaking her bay window. As the play progresses, Aunt Jesse dis- covers the plot against her, turns the tables, and eventually everything turns out well, -.....- Cost takes time out after rigid rehearsal These lovely young ladies . , , well . . , er . . .
