The Greencastle Chapter of the Future Homemakers of America combined projects and social events to make a successful and enjoy- able year. The girls sold Christmas cards, doughnuts, and hot dogs. Initiation of new members was planned around a family pitch-in supper. A gift exchange, caroling, and games made the Christmas party an enjoyable event. Members of the chapter attended the fall district meeting at Lebanon and the spring meet- ing at Noblesville. This year the club initiated a list of standards for the gifts annually given to seniors and also a basis for selecting an out- standing senior girl. Assisting the advisor, Mrs. Compton, were Rachel Jordon, president, Carolyn Berry, vice- president, Beverly Best, secretary, Alice Livesay, treasurer, Maryland Kershner, parliamentarian, Arlene lkamire, historian, Pat Chase, editor, and Joyce Reeves, civil defense leader. The chapter was honored to have one of its members, Alice Livesay, serving as District song leader.
