Composed of representatives from every class, the G. H. S. Follies proved very enter- taining to the large crowds in attendance Nov- ember 8 and 9. The varied program included singing, dancing, pantomimes, acrobatics, and instrumental numbers. Proceeds from this year's Follies were divided between the con- vocation fund and the Senior Class for use in defraying the cost of the Minaret. Special features of the production this year were two Senior Chorus Lines doing novelty dances, a boy's quartet, and Lillian Brown and Harold Williams doing a rhythmic dance. New acts which drew a lot of applause were the Senior Girl s Sextet several panto- mimes a magic act and a group of acrobqts who presented some very difficult gymnastic feats Also returning from last year was a group selected from the school choir singing and dancing The Follies shows the talent in G H S and also gives the performers confidence in their abilities and sometimes is the start of a career or leads to engagements to entertain for clubs All Smiles as They Sing and Dance Me and My Shadow by Kathy Reynolds and Jane Hughes was very well presented Smiles Cover Tired Faces The entire cast sing happily as the final successful production 5 i , s F ri if it li r , '. of the l956-57 Follies comes to a close. 15
