gaafeflraff This year the Tiger Cubs will lose five players by graduation James Conrad, Clif ford Hanlon, Bob Hoffman, Bob Cooper, and Lloyd Scobee are the veteran members that have played their last basket ball for G H S Th se five boys have worked hard and deserve much credit They will be replaced by other members of the varsity squad and several members of the 'B t am Returning for varsity action next year will be Junior Frye, wayne Shonkwiler, Wayne Marks, Max Records, Jim Hedge, James Dunn, Lloyd Cooper, Dick Hoffman, and several others Coach Fechtman has arranged for next year one of the toughest schedules in the state There is quite a lot of good basket ball material in our high school and there should be good teams for the next several years Mr Fechtman is a very popular coach, both with the fans and the team Because of his unusual height and his own basket ball ability, he is well known all over the state The class of '43 wishes Coach Fechtman, and the cubs, all the luck in the world in the games to be played next year We shall never forget our basket ball team and will be back often to see them play puff: NBOBH HOFFMAN TROPHY KIWANIS AWARD The second annual wanis Award trophy was pre sented to Robert Hoffman Jr , outstanding member o the Tiger Cubs The winner was chosen by his team mates on the basis of SCHOLARSHIB ABILITY SPORTSMANSHIP This award is symbolic of the highest award that can be presented a Greencastle High School athlete 11 . . . 6 ' ' fx I .
