Twenty The eighth grade started to school on September -l, 19-15, with an enrollment of thirty-six pupils. Wfe elected officers: Norman VValclc. President: XYilliam Illarkley. Vice Presidentg Treva Mowen, Seeretaryg Lynn Murray, Treasurer. The school had a Hallowe'en Party which was largely attended by the eighth graders, who enjoyed it very much. At Christmas time we had a gaily decorated tree. VVe all had a most pleasant time open- ing the gifts for which we had drawn names. VVe were very sorry to have Mrs. Humhert leave, hut we were also glad to have Mr. Kaley back. We all like our teachers and have enjoyd this school term very much. ellen QFCLJB On September 4, 1945, we entered our tirst year of junior high school with an enrollment of thirty-four pupils. Under the supervision of Mrs. Humhert, our homeroom teacher, we elected class officers andthe results were: Robert Pensinger, President: Phyllis Cooper, Yiee Presidentg Henry Tos- ten, Secretary: Ruth Sellers, Treasurer. In December, our classroom was beautifully decorated with a Christmas tree, pine, and drawings made hy our class. VVe exchanged presents and were delighted with our surprises. A Valentine box made by Lorraine Mann was generously filled, and when opened on Val- entine's Day, disclosed a handful of Valentines for everyone. On the fifth of March, Mrs. Humbert, our homeroom teacher, who put up with us for the past six months, bade us farewell, and we welcomed M r. Kaley, who has returned from the serv- ice of his country and who will teach us during the remainder of the year.
