Cast Will and Zestament The members of the Senior Class of 1953 in good health and possessed of solid heads do make and execute this our will and testimony before leaving Green Bank High School. We hereby warn any person who may try to break or alter this will that in such case we shall haunt him to the edge of the grave itself and reap vengeance upon him too horrible to describe in words. Our distinguished place in the high school we will to a group known as the Junior Class. We place upon them the responsibility of maintaining the school reputation as well as we have done in the past. To the afore mentioned class we also leave two homerooms to be theirs during the year 1953-54. In addition to the Juniors we leave two class sponsors now residing in Mental Institutions'due to causes beyond our con- trol. Also to you, Juniors, we may bequeath any present Senior who flunks and fails to graduate. To the Sophomores, our sister class, we leave our richest blessing with a sin- cere hope that you will re-establish the school reputation which the present Juniors will doubtless destroy. We also leave to you Sophomores our past records to serve as inspirations to you in your future struggles. To the present Freshmen Class, now past our authority for the first year, we bequeath a measure of dignity that you may properly fill the place of Sophomores. To you also we leave a picture of the class of '53 framed in the hall that you may gaze upon it each day and set for yourself a high idea of becoming such Seniors. To the Faculty of the school, we leave a belated thanks for all you've tried to do for us and if it will help you out any we advise the lower classmen to study a lot harder than we did. Our athletic record we leave to all teams in the future to gaze upon in admiration, our scholastic record we leave to------------, let's just not say any more about it. The beautiful carved initials you will find on the desks in the various classrooms standing for our worthy names we leave to posterity and unborn generations. The old gym we will to Green Bank for the next 40 years feeling certain we'll never get another. The peanut box known as the auditorium we leave to the Dra- matic Department as the best we can offer, if you want more room have outdoor plays. The cracks around the windows we leave to the hoot owls for free and un- hindering passage in and out the rooms. Such incidentals as hall radiators, desk corners, and secluded chairs we leave to the first true love couples who get to them in the fall of '53. To Mr. Harris, we have nothing to leave but we are asking Santa Clause to bring him a new loud speaker system and a bright red wig. To every one concerned in Green Bank High School we leave our blessings and to the high school we leave our sincere hopes for a future success far greater than the past. Signed and witnesses-- SENIOR CLASS OF '53
