Homecoming. A time for reliving old memories and making happy new ones. This year's homecoming activi- ties were better than ever, thanks to the never failing efforts of the GMHS senate. Their hard work more than paid off. Some of the spir- it days were Toga Day , where the populous of Green Mountain donned sheets and laurel leaves in the true spirit of Rome. Later, on Nerd Day , the geeks came out of the woodwork. Herb, look out! Other days included Boxer and Bow Tie Day , and Class Color Day fSen- iors: red, Junior: Blue, Sophomores: Green, Freshmen: White, Teachers: Blackj. All were enjoyable and fun. The week was filled with enthusiasm. Even when the football team lost an incredible heartbreaker to Ever- greeng the students never stopped rooting for them. The climax to the week, of course, was the homecom- ing dance . . . 'Y 'wg E? Powder Puff cheerleader, Bob Schneider shows off his legs Two nerds show their school spirit

. . . Dressed in their finest, couples crowded onto the floor of the cafete- ria to dance the night away. Elected homecoming attendants by their peers were: Freshmen Brian Bowder escorting Becky Fair, Sophomores Delinda Chapa and Matt Holiday, and Lance French escorting Shay Arnst for the Juniors. The senior candidates for King and Queen were: Tom Boos, Liz Mendez, Jon Hume, Janel Rowe, Rick Kaylor, Jung So, Jack Miller, and Karla Vincent. The names of the lucky couple were announced in the middle of the dance. They were Jon Hume and Liz Mendez, a more charismatic couple we have yet to find anywhere. Par for the course the Seniors defeated the Juniors at Powder Puff football. Led by Terry Madrid's two touch- downs, the seniors had a clear mar- gin to victory . . .
