DAR Good Citizen for this year was Frances, com- monly known as Trut, Gilchrist. Trut has held many offices all through her high school career and has shown the qualities of a good citizen. The four quali- ties that a DAR Good Citizen must have are de- pendability, service, leadership, and patriotism Margie Knaub was chosen by the members of Girls' This year's outstanding Pep purr is Gladys Arm- Athletic Association as their outstanding member strong. She was Vice President of Pep Club in her for 1949. Margie has been very active in all in- Junior year and President this year and has done tramural sports given by GAA. She plays the cello in the orchestra and Junior P ilharmonic 50CuLtwzmeI' MM aria ,meegwwta Girls State representatives for this year are jean Drake and Pat Miner. These girls were chosen from a field of ten candidates by the faculty. Alternates are Lila Antholz, Dorothy Lindeen, Norma Swanson, and Ophelia Garcia. The two representatives have a chance to take part in actual governmental procedure. Girls' State is sponsored by the American Legion Auxiliary ia We L Pat Miner is the other very talented girl chosen for the honor. She is a member of GA, Masque and Gavel, and is on the High Light Staff. Pat plays violin in the Junior Philharmonic She won several awards in the regional Scholastic Art Contest wr is gi i' , fs M Z ' Y 'f . '
