Although plans for a community building closed out a sep- arate building the council successfully pushed plans for inclusion in the pro- posed community building. This honorary jour- nalistic organization worked for the advancement of journalism, also finding time to tackle the nation's political and economic problems in its own peculiar brand of group debate. Ten seniors, selected by their class as most likely to make some important contribution to human progress this year com- peted for scholarships offered by the Pepsi-Cola company. Johanna Lindou, one of the ten, placed in the state finals, win- ning a fifty dollar scholarship.
