04 ilu fllllrmnrmm Mlss K Alletha Standxsh who was a teacher of hlstory and soclal studies at Cochran Iunxor Hlgh School and at Sen1or Hxgh School from 1923 unt1l Ianuary 1942 dled on March 9 1942 She was graduated from Ieannette Hrgh School 1n 1911 from Indlana State Normal School 1n 1913 and from the Unlverslty of Prttsburgh ln 1922 Mlss Standlsh traveled extenslvely throughout the Umted States and Europe havlng also studred at the Umversrty of Vienna She took a promlnent part 1n the l1fe ot our clty, betng parhcularly active 1n church work She was drrector ot the Fore1gn Relatxons group of the College Club She was much xnterested 1n muslc and poetry as hobbxes One of her poems IS here reproduced Her death was lndeed a loss to Iohnstown Hmgh School It meant losmg a fme teacher and a flne lady 3-funk' ' .- ,V Q , , x' -,' g s 1 I ' . we 4 - Q .
