They assist in carrying out orders set forth by the Navy. lt is their job to keep a check on the crews berthing spaces and make sure that the men under them keep the spaces clean. They also run the mess line and keep our newly painted mess spick and span. lf you think you can run around out of the uniform of the day just let them catch you and you will soon see if there is much you can get away with.
