welcome dr. mossman “They're the same everywhere, contends Dr. Mossman in reference to students. Hockaday School for Girls in Texas, he recalls, was co-ed too, at least after the afternoon bell! College admissions? Great Neck seniors complain of a universal prob- lem—says our new principal—whatever symptoms of college entrance fever occur here are no different from those plaguing Texas youth. Dr. Mossman studied pre-law at Morningside College, majoring in history and economics. Graduate work at Columbia, an M.A. from Northwestern and an LL.D. in School Administration from the University of Chicago complete his educational back- ground. Before coming to Great Neck he taught in a Kansas City high school and then held two principalships, one at Hinsdale Township, the other at Hockaday. As extensive as his experience at institutions of learning are his hobbies: golf, tennis, classical music and his family—although not necessarily in such order! His keen wit coupled wiith sincere understanding and personal interest in people have made the process of “becoming acquainted pleasant for all. We know that the genuine friendship that has impressed him these past few months shall prove a solid, growing friendship in the years to come.
