VARSITY CHEERLEADERS A cheerleader . . . a person dedicated to generating spirit. For this year's Varsity squad, cheer- leading was a test of endurance. To coor- dinate twelve girls with differing opinions and ideas proved to be an unbelievable task, which was accented by the loss of four girls and the decrease in popularity of pep rallies. Money raising proiects provided money for the squad to attend cheerleading camp at West Virginia Weslyn College, Buchannon, West Virginia, during the summer. Enthusiastically, the squad attempted to inspire a winning season in football, soc- cer, basketball, baseball, and track. lil Carmen Johnson, iunior. l2l Laurie Jo Ryan, iunior. l3l Laurie Ryan and Ann Levay pose for a candid picture.
