lil A if I SKI CLUB The American passion for skiing invad- ed GM this year as avid veterans and dar- ing beginners sponsored proiect after proiect to raise money for their two winter ski weekends. A short trip to the Charnita resort in Pennsylvania gave the novices an experi- ence on the slopes before the big trip to the Wisp Ski area of western Maryland. v 9 Mt 151 TRAVEL CLUB ln the Travel Club, students become ac- quainted with places far and near through the use of films and slides, from guest speakers, and the Travel Club's own field trip. GAA The Girls' Athletic Association is the women's lib branch of the GM athletic department. The association advocates in- volving girls in extra curricular athletics. Recruiting interested girls is only one of the GAA activities, the members also or- ganize and officiate girls interscholastic sports. They compete in basketball and volley- ball with Chopticon and St. Mary's Acade- my.
