' Q' Y 51- MAJORETTE9 The ten-girl maiorette squad was an added attraction to the band. New to the squad were the two featurette twirlers, Kim Cook and Vicki Gurley, in their gold sequined uniforms. The squad also used flags, hoop batons and fire batons in their half-time routines. il . k,,,, it 41 ' r . 'gn iii,ii Nas' DRILL TEAM A new addition' to the GM football and parade marching unit was the rifle drill team. Led by Captain Cecilia Phillips, the ten girls in their green and gold uniforms performed intricate military drills and rifle maneuvers.
