Despite the disappointment of another losing sea- son, the overall improvement of indi- vidual and team records was an en- couraging factor to the wrestlersl who will be going out for the team next year. Adding to the team's enthusiasml were the results of their participation t in the Prince George's County Wres- tling Tournament on February 19 and 20. Finishing fourth in this tour- ney, Larry Royalty, Bill Holt, and Steve Kish were advanced to the Dis- trict Tournament. Great Mills was proud to be ranked tenth out of about twenty-five schools participating in the Prince George's meet.

Soccer Now in its second year, the Hornet soccer squad, under the direction of head coach Richard Rawls and assist- ant coach Alan Drimmer, finished with a 2-6 record. Winning its first two games, the Hornet club matched strides with other teams only to lose the remain- ing games of the season. Players recognized for outstanding performance and selected for the All- County soccer team were sophomore Dave Jones, junior Eric Herr, and senior Jim Lechtrecker. With the return of Steve Kish, David Jones, Bill Jesse, Steve Barth, Frank Banister, Craig Conklin, and Dave Willey, next year's team will concentrate on improving its offense to complement the strong defense of this year's team. Coach Rawls is anticipating better all around participation from the stu- dent body.
