i N Junior Varsity Football The Junior Varsity football players of the 1970-71 season are a confident, well disciplined team, ready to step into the varsity role in coming sea- sons. The JV closed their season with a 5 - 1 record, the best of any other JV team in the history of Great Mills. The team was led this year by half- back Jeff Scott who averaged better than eight yards per carry. Quarter- backs Harold Willard and Art Shep- 48 herd, halfback Dwayne Brown and ends Rick McFee and Bill McCabe also display promise. The defense was instrumental in many victories as it was able to pro- duce three consecutive shut-outs - another school record. Al Babcock, Jeff Scott, Rick McFee, John Giro, Corwin Ackerman and Gary Reed were the outstanding defensive ball players. i E 5 s i ! i s 5 Top Left: The 'Defense readies for another shutout.
