National Honor Society The National Honor Society's membership consists of junior and senior students who have excelled in scholarship, leadership, character, and service. Nationally sponsored, the Great Mills chapter has as its main goal: to provide service for the betterment of the school and the community, and to encourage other members of the student body to fol- low its example. This organization acts as a voice of the students to defend and define student rights, to promote good relations among students, facul- ty, and administration, and to create an interest in school and local activi- ties. When a resolution is introduced to the SGA, the general assembly, pre- sided over by Jeff Beard, discuss the proposal and vote on it. If passed, the resolution is presented to the admin- istration for its consideration.
