A 5 5:3 '-1 'Xwg-fi :yes Features 'E' -4 av I MEMORIAM ln the passing of Mrs. lrene Pointer McKenney on March 14, 1951, Great Bridge School has lost a faithful friend and worker. She spent 34 years of her life serving her school as o bus driver. From 1917-1920, she drove a horse-drawn covered wagon . ln the early 20's she helped to build her own motorized bus and used this type until 1939, when she changed over to a county owned bus. Her service continued until the time of her death. Mrs. McKenney was recognized for her de- votion to duty, promptness, and interest in all school affairs . Great Bridge School takes this means of ex- pressing its appreciation for the many fi ne influences her life exemplified. On our recent trip to Washington and New York we saw several people we knew. . .CAROLYN PUGH is the ambassador to Lower Slobovia . . . ROBERT MERCER, the noted politician, is now running for Congress, his private secretary, by the way, is RAYMOND UMPHLETT.
