Both Panther Tales and Yearbook Staff continued the tradition of working before and after school in order to meet deadlines. Often staff members could be found working during the late hours of the night. For the students involved in publi- cations, the year began during the summer, as many staff members went to newspaper and yearbook workshops throughout the state. These workshops gave the students a preview into what lay ahead on the publishing staff. The Journalism I class, designed to give juniors their first taste of what Journalism is all about, also presents Mr. John Mohn, Journalism instructor, with an in- sight to the joumalism capabilities of upcoming students. The A Capella Choir started its year in preparation for its first fall concert with the direction of Mr. Phil Szajnuk. Choir is made up of a select group of juniors and seniors who combine to put on a number of co- certs throughout the year. A new dimension was added to the music department this year, with a new select group, called Mixed En- semble. This group sings a wide vari- ety of songs from old favorites to modern pop tunes. Through the passing seasons, the departments can be seen developing their talents and expressing them through their music and the printed word.
