Stuco stimulates understanding through democracy. With careful planning and able leadership, the Student Council performed a dual role by providing a vital link between students and administration and by introduc- ing the representatives to the problems and pleasures of accomplishing their goals. Student Council Commitee, the basic organizain block, helped build a sound program of school and extracurricular activities. lnitiating action, this organi- zation prepared meeting agendas and reviewed mat- ters of school importance. Debbie Cheerleaders light the fire of spirit. If the Pep Club lost its urge to yell or the team faltered, the cheerleaders administered innoculations of pep by cheering even more enthusiastically! Their eagerness, as if contagious, spread quickly, even to the spectators. Their duties, however, reached beyond athletics to maintaining an example for the school in all activities. They practiced diligently during the week and attend- ed one clinic at Dodge City. This year the juniors and Sophomores had a better chance of attaining B-team cheerleader.
