Starting their career at the Senior High School, the Sophomore Class numbered 261. ln i957 a Safety Program was promoted. The class of i960 won the trophy to highlight the year. As Juniors this class achieved success in pre- senting their Three-Act play entitled Gentlemen Prefer Blonds and the Junior-Senior Prom, Gaite Parisienne. The One-Act play entitled Balcony Scene was selected for state competition from the class plays. An original money-making proiect was selling movie discount cards. Again the class won the safety award trophy. The last, but most memoriable year of all had some firsts, the closed noon hour and the dress code. The Senior One-Act Special Guest was winner of the class plays. Scholastically the class of i960 has excelled by acquiring outstanding recognition. On May 27, President M. C. Cunningham of Fort Hays delivered the commencement address to the 200 graduates. The graduating class of i960 left the halls of GBHS in their black and white robes with their Alma Mater echoing in their ears never to walk as a group again.
