The secretaries have worked hard to meet the many deadlines which have been presented. The work of these people never ceases, as they work for the betterment of the entire school and the community. We, the Rhorea staff, wish to show our appreciation on behalf of the student body, the faculty, and the community to the Administration and the Board of Education.

Members of the Board are Harry Lytle, Mrs. George Schumacher, Dr. M. O. Steffen, H. P. Colegrove, Clerkg Hody Thies, Presidentg Edward Opie, Treasurer. Ira Farmer, Vice-Presidentg Robert Larson, and D. V. Swartz, Superintendent of Schools. D. V. Swartz, Superintendent of Schools, works all year to coordinate the city school system. NMS.. 5 Through the unceasing work of the members of the Board of Educa- tion and the school odministration, GBHS has become one ofthe best in the state. The Board of Education often works lotew in the evening to formu- late school policy. Students ofthe Great Bend schools have been pro- vided with regulations which the Board believes to be best for the majority.

Enjoying the fall open house by having refreshments are Mrs. Schcnerman .ind Mr. :ind Mrs. W, E, Bztrfield, Guiding and assisting the students are only a few of the many activities of the teachers. By sponsoring clubs, organizing activities, and supervising dances, the teachers are always busy, with few moments to spare. However, these faculty members are always ready to hear new suggestions, and are never too busy to lend a helping hand.
