Editorials-Continued amount and thus cause the class indebtedness? , After several days of figuring we, the business manager and assistant, decided that two hundred class books were all that we could possibly sell so we decided not to risk any more money than was absolutely necessary. At the next staff meeting our report was given but the boys insisted that two hundred books were entirely too small a number. After a few hours the boys had won, because they had thoroughly convinced the girls that big things could be accomplished by lots of work: therefore it was decided that we could sell five hundred fifty books. ' The first big work we had to do was to outline a campaign with the motto lt pays to Advertisen. We had several schemes for advertising. The best way to advertise at first we thought, would be to get our own school interested, so we put up a Rhorea Bulletin Board in the lower hall, that is with the help of Miss Dougherty and Mr. Sloan. It would have been impossible to have made it so beautiful without their help. We endeavored to make this bulletin board an interesting feature of the school by placing cartoons, snapshots and posters on it, which proved to be a great success. But a Bulletin Board wasn't enough. We wanted to impress the students more deeply, so they would all get enthusiastic about our Rhorea , and would not only hear it but talk it. What would we do? We decided to have chapel talks twice a week. The assistant took charge of these chapel talks and selected speakers. The follovsaing talks were given: 6 Nov. -Call for a Staff Meeting-Louise Clark. Dec. 2l- Boost for Rhorea -Melissa Ruble. Jan. I3-- Take pictures -Pauline Maxfield. Jan. I5- Hand in all good snapshots -Margaret Bolinger. Jan. I5- Talk Rhorea, Buy Rhorea, Sell Rhorean--Carl Courtney. jan. jan. 27- Look at our Rhorea Bulletin Board -Delta Seward. 29- Be original, draw cartoons and posters -Vera Chapman. Feb. I0- Get Snappy --Louise Clark. Feb. I2- Get Funny -Ruth Carleton. Feb. 23- Plea for Subscriptions -Cutch Lewis. Feb. 25- Buy Rhorea today -Hazel Weisenberger. Feb. Haze 26- Only a few Rhoreas left -Hazel Weisenberger. l Weisenberger and Bertha Kellar were subscription editors. Once a person was caught by these enterprising book agents there was no escape. A big campaign was conducted and the goal of 500 annuals has been almost reached. By the time the Rhorea comes, every book will have been sold. Even the School Board thought the Rhorea was going to be so good that they bought fifty copies to use in advertising C. B. H. S. over the community. The Business Department appreciates the co-operation of the Echo and Lyric in its advertising campaign. The ministers were very willing to aid us in advertising the Rhorea. ' The next thing which was necessary to do, was to secure a sufficient amount of advertising. Carl Courtney and Charles Lewis, advertising managers, after about three weeks of ardent work secured the necessary amount. The business men of the town showed that they were back of the high school by advertising so willingly in the Rhorea.
