qinh' Jlmoclatlon Older Girls' Conference The annual Older Girls' Conference was held on lvlarch 29-30. With the theme Sailing to Success, the conference followed the precedent set by past conferences and was very successful. Our girls took part in the panel discussion Saturday, using as o subject Keeping Physically Fit. Aunt lVlinny and Alexander, the Swoose were the highlights of the trip as far as the fun part of conference goes, The girls attend- ing were: Charlotte Morrison, Alta Cox, Marie Black, Helen Tennis, Edith Osborne, Doris Crispin, Aggie Dolinar, Nevada Ostrom, Margaret Johnson, Virginia Pintar, Jeanne Abbott, Janice Cunningham, Barbara Taylor, The discussion panel led by Tavio Battista and Bob Bryan was the highlight of the Boys' Conference held at the Davis Campus on December 7 with Vocations as the theme. The boys formed a basketball team and beat all opposition which included Colusa and Durham, Along with swimming in a heated tank, they also make a tour of the campus on an elephant train. Our band made it eyen more thrilling this year by turning out in such large numbers tor everything and playing in the best possible rnanner, Due to the number who desire band we haye twoi Junior and Advanced. The Junior band has progressed yery rapidly this year and the Senior band-well, need We say more? The Music department as a whole sponsored a program this year in which the Sacramento Junior College Orchestra was the rnain feature, To clirnax a yery successtal year, the band made a trip to Dayis where they at- tended the annual picnic and played with ponds from nncny other schools, Beginners' Band
