A xx f V Coach Pumphrey Varsity Tennis This year's Eagle net squad has won several meets at press time and is expected to be among the top teams in the Grossmont League. John Sanderlin, a iunior, and Roy Long, a sophomore, have been the top varsity performers thus far. Joe Dalheim has also done well with Sanderlin in doubles competition. The iunior varsity, composed mainly of freshmen, has had three boys proiected into the spotlight. These players-Robert Cota, Clar- ence Monta and Paul Herman-are all freshmen with much promise. With the underclassmen on the Varsity J.V. being the top players, a good nucleus of young prospects is being prepared to keep Granite Hills among the tennis powers of the league.
