'7 Track The 1962 Eagle track team opened the season with a victory over Hilltop, but that early season triumph has yet to be equaled at press time. A very creditable second place 'finish was taken in the J.C. Relays by the A's , though. Many of the top Eagle trackmen are on the B and C teams to enable them to quality in the S.D.C.l.F. finals at sea- son's end. The C team has done very well with several meet wins. However, the boys on the A team have broken school records. These include: Russ Eckhardt, lOO yard dash, Glen Richardson, broad jump, Kirby Hawkins, pole vault, and Carl Jacobus, high iump. These tracksters along with Barry Vittor, Bob Moody and Tommy Robinson have been the stalwarts of a squad that lacks much depth.
