With a good nucleus returning, next year's team should be even better than Varsity Basketball Coach Matern LEFT T0 RIGHT: Dan Arbaugh, Mgr., Larry Fisher, Dick Mather, Ned Bowker, Phil Thacher, Stan Riches, Fuzzy Patstone, Tom Roth, Carl Clendenon, Chris Crawford, Bob Lundgren, Greg Long, John Kaiser, Mgr. Hustle was the by-word of this year's Eagle varsity and it paid off in a much improved team. Two victories over El Cajon highlighted the team's 12-ll overall re- cord and helped gain 'Fourth place in the Grossmont League. Although team work was an outstanding characteristic, the fine scoring and rebounding of Bob Lundgren coupled with the excellent all-around play of Stan Riches led the squad throughout the season. this year's.
