' Vwfq ,fx uniot Glass Hisfofnf The Junior class greets thee, in the year of 1950, with a hearty Hello We the Juniors are looking forward with great anticipation to being called the dignified Seniors next year. We feel that our class is and will continue to be one of the best classes which Grandview High School has ever had the privilege of producing. We point with pride to those Juniors who have qualities of leadership and depen- dability. The Justified Juniors are prominent in all activities offered by our school. Also, in scholarship, athletics, music and dramatics we are outstanding. We have had several class activities. Among them, we find our Junior Varsity Show ranking the highest. Then there was a surprise birthday party given for Bobbie Sue Walraven in which we went skating. Although a few of us returned with cuts and bruises, we had loads of fun. Next, we took a half day from school and went to sed 'Ham1et which we enjoyed very much, Al- though in our latest party, only seven of us were able to attend, we had a delightful time seeing Ichobod and Mr. Toad at the Yale Theatre. All to- gether we had very much fun from our class activities and we expect to have lots more. The football banquet was one of the main events this year in which the Junior girls enjoyed themselves very, very much. One of our most able Jun- iors, Gilbert Gatlin, was elected football captain for the forth-coming year. Also, in the Pep Squad next year we have many capable Juniors. These are: Dorothy Siratt--head majorette, Mary Elizabeth Bennett--head cheerleader, Bobbie Walraven--cheerleader, Barbara Chapman--snare drummer, Norma Bitner--Bass drummer. We are sure these girls will do a swell job. Although skirmishes have existed between the Junior and Senior classes this year, they shall always be remembered and treasured deeply. So as a whole, the Junior Class of Grandview High School wishes the best of luck to Seniors in the future. OUTSTANDING QUALITIES OF THE JUNIORS Darrell Holland--arguing with Mr. Stanley. Bob Hale--working on annual. Dorothy Siratt--all aglow over Guy Hill. Mary Bennett--always into something. Floy Hinson--asking if someone has seen Gilbert. Gilbert Gatlin--always improving his car. Jo Lynn Holloway--trying to get the ambulance. Barbara Chapman--waiting for her male to come in. Bobbie Walraven--smart remarks for Mr. Stanley. Norma Bitner--looking for a skating rink. Thelma Lanfear--taking after her big brother. Voncille Byars--always having to stay home and study, Mary Martin--out for Alvarado. the Ha, Ha.
