FRONT ROW: Allan Stokke, Russell Jalbert, Robert McKinnon, Deanne Peterson. The boys coached by Mr. Louis Lund had P record of two wins and nineteen losses for a total of 21 games including the tournament. They played eight conference games and lost seven of them and won one. The District 45 tournament was held at Mapleton on February 21, 22, 23. Grandin was defeated by Arthur in there first game by a score of 56-28. In the second game we defeated Erie by a score of 45-43. we were defeated by Ayr in our final game by a score of 36-28. The Grandin Junior boys basketball team had a good sea- son during 1956-57. Coached by Louis V. Lund, we had 6 wins and 5 defeats, with a total of ll games including the tournament. The Junior tournament was held in Grandin on February 28, March 1, and 2. In the playoff game, on Thurs- day, February 28, the Grandin Juniors defeated the Mapleton Juniors by a score of 45-25. On Friday, March 1, Grandin defeated Ayr by a score of 25-25. On Saturday, March 2, Grandin Juniors played Arthur Juniors for championship. Grandin defeated Arthur by a score of 57-56.
