Page JP ige JirnesJSrandJunctioa Cojo Not a creature was stirring except for the Tigers This year Student Council was very busy with several activities which brought forth the Christmas spirit. Starting off the season was a tree decorating party followed by a door decorating contest; Mrs. Hyatt's room came in first. Many clul Mrs. Whitacre's Eddie Murphy (How to be a Ho-Ho-Ho) came in second, and Mrs. Eads' came in third. During the week of December 12 - 16, Student Council sponsored a canned food drive to help bene- ed in the the sea-inish Club, providecWilluminarios at the Alumni Dance and NHS who sponsored the Alumni Dance and basketball game for the second year in a row. Let's hope this stays a yearly tradition. The Christmas Assembly was held on December 22, with last year's Head Boy and Girl, Mike Meyers and Stephanie Meacham speaking on behalf of the Alumni. A member of the Senior Class, Tom Brine-gar, had his Christmas Story presented at the assembly. Many other groups also provided entertainment. Basketball stars from the past played an exciting game, showing each other what they have forgot- ten since they were once Tigers. Following this exciting game was the Annual Alumni Dance, which started off with a bang and ended in a roar. This is the end of the story because there isn't any more. Merry Christmas to all and to all a good year! MOW TO tt « m

Page 21 Tiger Times Grand Junction, Colo Spring Fest This year for dress up days we had Beach day. Dress up day, MTV day, Foreigner day, and Tootsie day. The participation for these days is really improved from the past few years which made it a lot more fun for everyone. We also had our Beach Dance which added to the fun. Finally the weekend came and it was time for our Carnival '84. In the Carnival we had the top two finalists of the air band contest compete for the championship, mud volleyball, mud tug of war, arm wrestling, a kissing booth, and many other booths.
