Also it wos felt nony students suffered monetary losses he administration offered ro pay for the music igskm Donee, Nov. 17 At about 1015 p.m , students ond faculty attending rhe donee heard rhe explosion and sow smoke coming from rhe wing The fire alarm wos set off and continued os students kept dancing in rhe cafeteria $ Soon afterwards, everyone was cleared from rhe building as police and fire officials began a search for other potential bombs Damage ro rhe building wos estimated between 1, ',500 dollars. Pomona had entered the game ranked seventh in the state with a 4-1 record. Grand Junction controlled the game from the start and led 13-0 at halftime. The Tigers added two more touchdowns in the third quarter to make the score 26-0. Coach Geiser put his substitutes in for the final quarter, and Pomona scored two touchdowns, but they were too far down to catch up. The crowds chanred for candy and rhe seniors won mosr of rhe dass competitions being dethroned only once by rhe junior dass. There were many spirit raising events that helped bolster moral and hod rhe crowd involved. The spirit rhis year was much improved and rhe pep assemblies helped it along. school life 17
