Sophomores Once again all the sophomore class officers were boys. They were: Charles Edwards, president; Paul Coe, vice-president; Joe Pollard, secretary, and Jerry Dolan, treasurer. At the beginning of the year, the class graciously welcomed the incoming freshmen at a reception held in the gym. Wafers and punch were served as refreshments. One of the most interesting meetings featured Chief of Police Marion Scott. In his talk, Chief Scott described the instruments used in modern criminology. The sophomores gave a party at the first of the year for the freshmen. The entertainment was conducted in the form of a track meet, with relays and races. The winner received a loving cup. Freshmen The freshman class has been very active and ambitious this year. The group began its activities at a party in the gym sponsored by the sophomores. Group games and relays furnished the entertainment. Later in the year the freshmen reciprocated with a party for the sophomores. The freshmen girls, in connection with Girls League, held meetings for the purpose of discusing topics that could not be discussed with success in a larger group. The party given in honor of the advisors of the class, Miss Ina Dyer and Mr. Raymond Eddy, was a successful venture which brot much attention to this up-and-coming class. The annual picnic closed the year's activities which had been presided over by Phil Dufford, president; Bill Nimmo, vice president; Betty McKeever, secretary; and Bonnie Nason, treasurer.
