Winter Vice Versa Wishing Cn A Star Dazzles Dancers The starlit setting in Highlander Hall, set the mood for the Winter Vice Versa, which was a soaring success. lt was held on December 2, and Summer Breeze kept the couples dancing throughout the evening. Crowned queen was Robin Pinkstaff and king was Gary Dunn. The court included Senior princesses Jana Elway and Cindy Kaufman. Junior princesses were Dee Dee LaGuardia and Suzanne Scully. Denise Ftiggin and Ann Flemke were the sophomore princesses. 1. Couples enjoy refreshments between dances. jOh . . . Hill 2. While resting their feet, couples enjoy the starry atmosphere. 3. Gong Show Gong Show A Hit With Huge Crowds Kicking off winter vacation was one of the years most enthusiastic events, the 1978 Gong Show. It was put on by the Human Relations class and Student Council. There were fifteen acts made up of students and faculty doing everything from dances to dog-shows. The judging panel, consisting of May Heishi, Danny Adams, and John Glynn, were just as wild and crazy as most of the acts. The winning acts, Jethro Tull done by Jim Terrell, Chris Terrell, Jeff Cogan, Bryan Diem, and Jim Purtee, and Don't It Make My Brown Eyes Blue sung by Tammy Bubenoff, won a gong trophy and a check for 62 cents. 1. Larry Green gets smothered with shaving cream as he presents award. 2. Sally Rizza, SAS teacher, adds her belly dancing ability to the Gong Show. 3. Jim Terrell wins Gong Show with his Jethro Tull imitation. 4. Wild and crazy John Glynn and Danny Adams gong contestants. 5. Tammy Rubenoff sings Don't lt Make My Brown Eyes Blue.
