Snowball King, Queen Reign At Winter Dance Granada's annual Winter Vice Versa was held on Saturday, December 13th in Highlander Hall and was given the title Snowball. For the first time, the Highlanders changed the court to include a King and six Princes. The court was nominated and elected by the student body. Shirley Sakaguchi, last semester's Queen, crowned Denise Railla, Vice Versa Queen and Tony Bernardo, Vice Versa King. Those elected as Princes and Princesses were: 10th grade Karen Oh, Gigi Railla, Brian Coleman, and John Gausche, 11th grade Deanna Ruby, Jackie Webb, Don DeMint, and Scott Soller, 12th grade Kathy Sakaguchi, Georgene Walker. Cliff Ruby, and Dan Soller. 1. Couples sit for e few moments of relaxation during dance. 2. Sold out Vice Versa attracted many couples to the dance floor. 3. Couples await patiently in line for their pictures. 4. The refreshment table was a popular spot at the dance. 5. The 1975 Vice Versa brought the crowning of Queen Denise Railla and King Tony Bernardo.

Pep Assembly ll Rally Introduces Mid-Year Sports The second Pep Assembly of the semester was held Friday, December 12. The forty minute assembly focused upon the winter sports. The boys' wrestling and basketball teams and the girls' volleyball team were introduced. Each team performed some of their everyday warm-up drills for the student body. The two- member demonstration by the wrestling team and the short game by the girls' varsity and J.V. teams brought cheers from the audience. Along with the sport demonstration, the- Highland Dancers performed their traditional dances. Joining in on this second Pep Assembly, the Bee and varsity cheerleaders and yell leaders led the student body in a cheer. 1. The Highland Dancers perform a Scottish dance to rouse spirit at the Pep Assembly. 2. Two members of the Varsity Wrestling Team give a demonstration of their sport to the student body. 30
